EASE
stands for Enabling Access to Sustainable Energy. EASE is a partnership
of NGOs from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe: Energética in Bolivia;
TaTEDO in Tanzania, RCEE in Vietnam and ETC in the Netherlands.
EASE aims to bring modern energy technologies within the reach and control
of the rural poor in developing countries. The target of EASE is to reach
one million people with modern energy access during the period 2007-2015.

This

Mainstreaming in Environment and Energy development
In
the June 24, 2008, the Vietnam Women Union organized a workshop on Gender
Mainstreaming in Energy and Environment (E&E) development. In this
conference, the entire members emphasized vital role of gender in E&E
development. The goal of gender mainstreaming in the environment and energy
development context is to widen the range of options and livelihoods available
to women, as well as men, and to promote equitable and sustainable human
development for all. It is increasingly recognized that sustainable development
will be difficult to achieve if development efforts do not consider all
relevant economic and social factors, including gender. Gender-sensitive
development approaches are ones designed to ensure that all citizens or
clients of an agency or organization benefit equitably, and that resources

Electricity
generator using biogas and It's benefits
1. Introduction
Being an agriculture nation, Vietnam is popularizing the biogas technology
in order to partially develop the agricultural economy, increase farmers’
income and eliminate property.
Especially biogas technology contributes significantly to the development
of sustainable agriculture. Therefore, after over 4 decades of development,
more than 100,000 domestic biogas plants have been installed all over
the country, supplying biogas for domestic energy demand of more than
500,000 rural people. According to the report “Biogas user survey 2005-2006”,
the average volume of family size digester is from 8m3 to 10m3 and the
number of the over 10m3 digesters account for 80% of the installed digesters.
Similar to any other fuel, besides being used for family activities such
as lighting, cooking, biogas also can be used for industrial and electricity
